We at Carbon County Public Health understand how challenging breastfeeding can be at first. We offer a variety of breastfeeding support services to assist women in need of counseling. Our highly trained nurses can provide education and support on the following breastfeeding topics:

Educational Opportunities

It is important to the nurses at Carbon County Public Health to help women to get off to a great start! We have a variety of educational opportunities that help to promote, educate, and encourage women to breastfeed, including:

  • Baby Weight checks to demonstrate adequate intake
  • Lactation Consultation after the baby is born
  • Pregnancy Counseling
  • Prenatal Visits that include breastfeeding information throughout
  • Support and encouragement
  • A variety of videos, handouts, and prepared slideshows

We Rent Medela Hospital Grade Breast Pumps for $5-25 per month sliding scale! Call 307-328-2660 for information. We also have 2 Certified Lactation Consultants on staff to assist you.
