The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Central Federal Lands Highway Division, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, and Carbon County, Wyoming is improving Wyoming Forest Highway 26 (County Road 401 and Forest Road 801), also known as Sage Creek Road from mile post 10 to 62, ending at intersection with Wyoming 70 (Battle Lake Road). Improvements include asphalt paving and placement of aggregate surfacing course. Construction duration will last from June 1 through October 31.
The public traveling through the construction zone can expect up to 30-minute intermittent delays during day time hours. Currently no closures are scheduled during night time hours and the road will remain fully open to through traffic. Travelers are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
